Charles A. Baumann

Baumann, Charles A. Of Germantown. Born in Wausau, WI to Carl and Magdalen Baumann. Passed away August 13, 2013, at the age of 89. Beloved husband for 66 years of Catherine (nee Eisenman). Loving father of David (Jean), James (Sheryll), Susan (John) O'Leary, Peter (Cheryl), Karen (Vito) Lucido, Robert (Dawn), Charlene (Kazuki) Takeuchi, Patrick (Kathleen) and Michele (Eric) Severson. Proud grandfather of 26 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Charles served 3 years in the Army Corp of Engineers during WWII, graduated from UW-Madison and retired as Vice-President of Human Resources at A.O. Smith Corporation. Charles was blessed with a sense of humor and a love of beauty and nature. "Charlie" was a respected businessman; but most of all, he was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather who centered his life on family and faith. Visitation will be held at St. Boniface Church in Germantown (W204 N11940 Goldendale Rd.) on Tuesday, August 20 from 10:30 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Burial will take place on a future date at St. Mary's Cemetery in Marathon, WI. Charles' intelligence, humor and guiding hand will be greatly missed.
