Clarence J. Blend

Blend, Clarence J. Entered Eternal Life on September 21, 2013, at the age of 92 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Beloved husband of the late Theresa C. Blend (nee Puccio) for 62 years. Survived by his children Robert (Lora) Blend, Gerald (Mary) Blend, Jacqueline (William) Blend-Bussert, Patricia (Jeff Patrick) Krahn and Anthony (Carol) Blend. Nine grandchildren: Aaron (Erika) Blend, Amanda Blend, Julia (Christopher) Davidson, Jeannie (Brad) Blend, the late Matthew Blend, Joseph (Alison) Johnson, Kristopher Johnson, Beau (Emily) Blend and Bashir Fotouhi. Along with 9 great-grandchildren, two brothers; Carl (the late Marie) Blend and the late William (Pearl) Blend and sister Florence (the late Gene) Antisdel. Dear brother-in-law to Betty Puccio and Pauline (the late Joseph) Cannestra. Clarence attended Boy Tech High. In the 1930's he participated in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) stationed in Mercer, WI. He was most proud of his career as a WWII combat fighter pilot (P-47) attached to the 341st U.S. Army Air Corps stationed in New Guinea. He worked construction many years. Before retiring he was a consultant for the Miller Brewing Company plants throughout the country. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, wood carving, fishing and sight seeing trips. A special thanks to all the staff at the Jewish Community Center Nursing Home and Gentiva Hospice. Memorial visitation Thursday, September 26 from 10 AM until time of service at 12 PM (NOON) at HOLY CROSS CEMETERY, WEST CHAPEL, 7301 W. Nash St., Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials for the family would be appreciated. Clarence will always be remembered by his love of his family and dry sense of humor. "See you later Dad, we will miss you, with all our love, your children"
