Gerald L. Fryda

Fryda, Gerald L. Gerald L. Fryda, of Menomonee Falls, was peacefully taken to our Lord on March 20, 2013, at the age of 79. He is survived by his loving wife Sallie, of 56 years, his daughter Wendy (Fryda) Hogden and son Dean Fryda. Jerry is also survived by his son-in-law Tim Hogden, daughter-in-law Reverend Jane Fryda, the Merk family, and many other close family and friends. Jerry devoted his life to the safety and service of others. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served honorably during the Korean War. He then finished school at UW Milwaukee and began his career with the City of Milwaukee as an Industrial Hygienist. After 20 years he retired from the City and began his career at Allen-Bradley in the safety department where he developed the "Safety Sam" program and traveled around the country ensuring the safety of others. He was a proud Mason, a member of the VFW, was the past president of the Milwaukee Area Industrial Safety Council and active member of the World Safety Organization. Jerry also was an adjunct instructor for MSOE where he taught industrial safety for many years. Visitation is at ELMBROOK CHURCH, 777 S. Barker Rd., Brookfield, Sunday, March 24, 2PM visitation, 3PM memorial service.
