Harry R. Kurtz

1923 - 2016

Kurtz, Harry R. Passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the age of 93, while residing at the Lutheran Home of Wauwatosa. Preceded in death by the love of his life, Gloria (nee Wachs), nearly 10 years ago. Proudly serving his country, Harry was a courageous recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his brave combat duty in the U.S. Army during WWII. After which, he worked until retirement for the U. S. Postal Service in Milwaukee. In retirement, Harry continued his love of bowling, fishing, golfing and swimming. He was an avid dart ball and sheepshead player. Harry was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Brookfield. Harry is fondly remembered by Gary (Nancy) Schlei, Dennis (Pat) Schlei, Barbara (Douglas) Hirschmann, other relatives and friends. Committal service on Wednesday, November 2nd at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield at 2:30 PM. Please meet in the GREEN parking area at 2:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) are appreciated.
