Lenard, Henry M., Dr. "Hank" Of Bonita Springs, FL died peacefully on September 1, 2013. He was 82. A resident of Whitefish Bay, WI for 41 years, he had also wintered in Bonita Springs for many years before becoming a permanent resident in 1999. Henry was born August 10, 1931 in Chicago, IL. , Dr. Lenard graduated Officer Candidate School achieving the rank of Captain. He received his under graduate degree at Coe College, earned his master's degree at the University of Iowa
, and achieved his doctorate degree at Northern Colorado University. Hank served his internship at the Jewish Vocational Services in Milwaukee, WI. Dr. Lenard's practice served the city of Milwaukee for over 40 years. He worked with many hospitals, was a consultant to industries and various agencies, including the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. He was also called upon many times as an expert witness. Dr. Lenard was a professor who taught psychology to first responders, graduate and under graduate students, as well as to the elderly. Hank served in many capacities as a faithful member of Community Congregational Church and was an avid tennis player. Dr. Lenard is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jacqueline J. (Silver) Lenard; children, Michael B. Lenard of Pacific Palisades, CA, Mark B. (Lindy) Lenard of New Lenox, IL, and Melissa B. (Andrew) Page of Guilford, CT; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; brother-in-law, Dr. Dee Silver; and 1 niece. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Community Congregational Church, 15300 Tamiami Trail N., Naples, FL 34110. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dr. Lenard's name may be made to Community Congregational Church. Burial will be in Belle Plaine, IA at a later date.
