Jeanne S. Fulton

Fulton, Jeanne S. (Nee Olson) of Fort Myers, FL. Former resident of Shorewood, WI. Born to eternal life December 11, 2012, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Floyd Fulton. Cherished aunt of James (Kathleen) Olson, Nancy (David) Halker, and Pamela (David) Sheridan. Also survived by sister-in-law Patricia Churchville, great-nephew James (Nina) Olson, Jr., great-nieces Mary Olson, Patricia Halker, and Chelsea Halker, and great-great-nephew James Leo Olson. Preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Antoinette Olson, and her brother, Dr. Rodney Olson. Jeanne was born February 3, 1928, and grew up in Cedar Grove, WI. She graduated from Wisconsin State Teacher's College and received her Master's degree from Northwestern University. She taught at Lake Bluff Elementary School in Shorewood for more than 30 years, retiring in 1987. Jeanne was honored in 1992 by Jerry Zucker (her former student) and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee School of Education with a Tribute to Teaching award. She was a member of Lakeshore Church in Milwaukee for many years, and then Westminster Presbyterian Church in Fort Myers. Jeanne had a lifelong dedication to various professional and church activities, to which she generously donated her time and resources. Funeral arrangements were coordinated by Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home. The service and burial were January 3, 2013, at Lee Memorial Park in Fort Myers. Jeanne will be dearly missed by her family, friends, former students, and others whose lives she touched and inspired.
