John Franklin Bibby

Bibby, John Franklin Age 79, passed away on December 26, 2013. A longtime resident of Whitefish Bay, John was born in LaCrosse, WI on August 26, 1934, to Joseph and Mildred (Franklin) Bibby. Survived by Lucile (nee Hanson) to whom he was married for 55 years, and sons John (Karen) and Peter (Kristen) Bibby. Also survived by grandchildren Kate, Meg and Jane; Thomas and Erin. Further survived by other relatives and dear friends. John was a professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for 34 years. He was the author of numerous books and articles on American government and political parties and an active member of the Republican party. John received a bachelor of science degree from Wisconsin State College LaCrosse, a masters degree from the University of Illinois and a PhD in political science from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) before beginning his career at Northern Illinois University. John was also an avid golfer. Private services will be held for immediate family.
