Boldt, Kenwyn G. Passed away on September 23, 2013, age 83. He was born in Milwaukee on May 28, 1930 to Beatrice and Guy Boldt. Kenwyn attended Custer High School and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee. He graduated from Northwestern University
with the degree Bachelor of Music. After two years in the US Army
he attended Indiana University
receiving the degrees Master and Doctor of Music. His teaching career started at Wharton County Junior College in Texas and continued at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. He was first director of the Music Center (Jack Benny Center for the Arts) in Waukegan, Illinois. Later he joined the faculty of the State University of New York College at Buffalo teaching piano, theory, music history and world music cultures. He is survived by his wife Frina, sons David and Steven and grandchildren Maria, Elizabeth and Sarah.
