Raymond Luther Obituary

Luther, Raymond D. Age 84 years, was drafted to play on Heaven's softball team on July 19, 2016. Cherished husband of Patricia (nee McAndrew) for 61 years. Loving father of Jean(Mike) Weber, Chris (Dan) Matel, Steve (Kay) Luther and Susie (Bob) Sutton. Amazing grandpa of Heather (Rob) Peters, Denise (Noah) Sautter, Nick (Ruth) and Josh Luther; Katie (fiance Mark Haertle), Joey (Katie Kosiboski) and Angie Matel; and Sean and Jaimie Sutton. Proud great-grandpa of River and Wyatt Peters and Emmett Sautter. Loving brother to Celine (Roger) Rothenmaier and the late Robert. Brother-in-law to Mary (Glen) Schoenung and the late Ed McAndrew. Preceded in death by his parents Aloysius and Stephanie and his infant son Daniel. Ray was a Korean War Army veteran, worked at Vilter Mfg. Co. for 41 years, and earned a Senior Olympics gold medal in softball. Ray participated in multiple softball and dartball leagues. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for Ray's favorite charities. Visitation at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 3722 S. 58th St., on Wednesday, July 27 from 1 - 2:45 PM. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 3 PM. Private interment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
