Robert Lieding

Lieding, Robert Loving husband of Connie Lieding of Mequon passed away on February 23, 2013. Wonderful father of Heather (David) Trzcinski, Suzanne (Doug) Ettl and Cynthia (John) Weise. Devoted grandfather of Christopher, Elizabeth, Lauren, Sydney and Andie. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Bob spent his childhood in the South and, after World War II, in Europe. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. While in law school, Bob met his wife Connie. Bob spent much of his professional career in sales and marketing in the Midwest. When Bob took over the F. Barkow Company in 1980, the family moved to Mequon. Bob loved spending time at his farm whether running his dog Max or hunting. Relaxing on Little Cedar Lake with the grandchildren was also a favorite. Over the years, Bob and Connie enjoyed many biking trips in Europe and the states. Later on a special interest was researching the Civil War and serving on the board of the Civil War Round Table. The entire family celebrated Bob and Connie's 50th wedding anniversary in Jackson Hole last summer. It was a joy to have three generations together for a week creating special memories for all. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 4, at 2:00 PM at Schmidt & Bartelt, 10280 N. Port Washington Road, in Mequon. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to the time of the Memorial Services. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to Cerebral Palsy Scholarship Foundation or the .
