Mueller, Ruth Sharpe Was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on March 23, 1924, to Harvey and Ada Sharpe. She attended University of Wisconsin
in Madison where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma and met the love of her life, Richard E. Mueller. They married on February 7, 1948 and later made their home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ruth and Dick were long time members of Elmbrook Church where he was an elder and she was actively involved with the Women's Ministry, Missions, and the Grateful Alive seniors group. Richard died on September 9, 1991. Ruth loved to read, lead, and teach and she loved the Lord. Like her father, she could do crossword puzzles in ink each day. She was a lifelong learner. She read the Wall Street journal every day and often clipped and sent articles to her family members. She mastered the computer and just last year learned the iPad so she could Skype with her children and grandchildren in Arizona. Even in her 88th year, she baked dozens of her Christmas cut out cookies which were the most treasured gift of her children and grandchildren. Travel was a passion for Ruth as she explored the world and travelled to three continents often with elder hostels. She is survived by her three sons, Rick (Brenda) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Mark (Edie) of Germantown, and Chad (Janice) of Cedarburg. She was the proud Grandma to James (Amber), Kathleen (Steve) Herman, Dawn (Brad) Christianson, John (Rebecca), Kyle (Jill) and Seth Mueller. She was also blessed to be Great-Grandma to Reagan, Reed, Gary, Sam, Amanda, Andrew, Hannah, Connor and Matthew. We were blessed she was given to us to touch and influence our lives. We will miss her strength, her wisdom and her spiritual guidance. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her two brothers, Dr. Harvey Sharpe and Dr. James Sharpe. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her honor may be sent to Telling the Truth, 309 N. Water St., Suite 425, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
