Golos, Thaddeus J. "Ted" Died April 12, 2014, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. He was 82 years old. He was a long husband, devoted father and grandfather. Proud of his Polish heritage he served his country in the Army before joining the Milwaukee Fire Department in 1954. He was a dedicated and decorated member of the MFD until injury forced his retirement in 1985; his close friendships with his fellow fire fighters lasted through the decades. His greatest enjoyments were taking his children and later his grandchildren fishing on Milwaukee area lakes and on vacations up north and spending time with his wife Jackie who was his greatest comfort and unwavering advocate during his last years with Alzheimer's. His family would like to extend a SPECIAL THANKS to the Nurses and CNAs of the Reflections Unit of Southpointe Health Care Center for their kind care during Ted's years there. He is survived by his wife Jackie, sons, Dr. Ted (Kathy) and Tom (Diane) Golos, daughter, Judy (Brian) Daley, grandchildren Clarice, Jessica, Stefan, Eva, Anne, Mary and Martha and his great-granddaughter Abigail. He also leaves behind his sisters Irene (Harry) Wesolowski and Alice (the late Harry) Grzona. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Charlotte and a sister Jean.
