Brill, Thomas H. Passed away peacefully on November 1, 2012, at the age of 80. Tom was born in Elmira, New York and called Shorewood his home for more than 60 years. Husband of Jeanne M. (nee McCarthy) for 60 years and father to Jim (Chris), Michael, Jack (Cindy), Meg, Steve (Susie), Mary Kate Griepentrog, Kathy (Geoff) Heeren, Patrick (Cheryl) and 11 grandchildren, Andy, Shannon, Hunter, Finn, Stephanie, Dana, Keenan, Cooper, Jenna, Charlie, Colin. Dear brother of Carol Brill. Further survived by many friends and relatives. Tom spent his career in the men's fashion industry, opening the first Men's designer boutique in Milwaukee, The Bill Blass Shop for Men at TA Chapman Company. He spent much of this career at Harley's, The Shop for Men, in Shorewood, WI. He purchased the store in partnership with Tim Ryan until Tom's retirement. Tom was a Charter member of the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center (MCSC), where he developed a passion for sailing. As a member of the board for the MCSC from 1988-1996, serving as President of the board for 3 terms, 1993-1996, Tom provided years of service, foresight and dedication. As an avid sailor, he enjoyed competing the MORC racing on his boat Rascal. As a Member of the Board of Directors, including president, for The Shorewood Association of Commerce, Tom provided many years of service and contributions. Visitation with family will be held on Monday, November 5, from 3:30PM-5:00PM, followed by a memorial mass at 5:00PM, at St. Robert's Church at the corner of Capitol Drive and Farwell in Shorewood, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tom's name may be made to the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center, 1450 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53202.
