Drischler, William H. M.D. 1917 - 2014. Age 96, of Rancho Mirage, California, passed away January 16, 2014, of natural causes. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the only child of William Fredrick Drischler, an accountant, and Olga Clara Hossfield Drischler. After earning a M.D. degree in the Class of May, '43 in Madison, Wisconsin, he was commissioned as a battalion surgeon with the U.S. Third Army Medical Corps in Germany. He was in numerous conflicts, including the Battle of the Bulge. His medical career was spent specializing in Internal Medicine, originally in Milwaukee and then in Los Angeles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Love Drischler, in 1991. His children and grandchildren are Anne Murray Drischler Taylor of Palm Desert, CA, with her son Drew Thomas Taylor of Placentia, CA; William Fredrick Drischler II of Yukon, Canada, with his daughter Kendra Janine Drischler Attnas; and Thomas MacDonald Drischler of Glendale, CA, with his daughters Julia Ipsem Drischler and Margaret Garwood Drischler, both of Redondo Beach, CA. He was laid to rest, with full Military Honors, in Resurrection Cemetery, Monterey Park, on January 21.
