William H. "Bill" Krauss

Krauss, William H. "Bill" 81, town of Almon, Shawano County, died Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. Bill was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran serving during the Korean War. Bill worked at Mid-City Foundry in Milwaukee for a number of years, he also worked as a carpenter and then at the former James River Corp. in Wausau for over 18 years. Survivors include his wife, Betty Krauss, Town of Almon; three children, Cheri Krauss, Greenfield, William (Linda) Krauss, III, Whitefish Bay and Kathy (Doug, Jr.) Johnson, Eland; four grandchildren, Dana (Adam Winter) Krauss, Austin, TX, Lychelle (Cody) Miller, Bowler, Robert Krauss, Wauwatosa and Douglas (Laura Patterson) Johnson, III, Birchwood and one great-grandson, Leon Jackson Miller. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Birnamwood. Rev. Matthew Christians will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4PM until 8PM at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of services at the church.
