Edward Lijewski Obituary

Lijewski, Edward Joseph Found peace on October 14, 2010, at the age of 94. He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years Dorothy (nee Bruss), children Sandra (Lee) Ayers and Robert (Kathleen). Also survived by grandchildren Kenneth (Courtney) Kuzminski, Jeffrey Kuzminski, Becky Lijewski and Michael (Lisa), great-grandchildren Danny, Joel and Mark Kuzminski as well as other family and friends. Ed worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the depression and served 4 years in the United States Army during World War II with the Second Armored Division. After the war Ed was a guard at the Waupun State Prison before moving his family to Milwaukee in 1953. He retired from PPG Industries after 30 years of service. Ed is a Past Master of Excelsior Lodge #175, Free and Accepted Masons, a Past Worthy Patron of Electa Chapter #75, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the DeMolay Legion of Honor. Special thanks to Hickory Park Assisted Living facility, Asera Hospice Care and Right at Home for the care they gave Ed. At Ed's request there will be no funeral or memorial service. He will be laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery. His jokes will certainly be missed.
