I thought of Barb this morning and when I went into my email, this memorium of Barb was there. She was a special friend and I miss that. She loved going to Perkins to have breakfast food for lunch. We had so many wonderful talks and laughs.

I think of Barb often and miss our lunches we had once a month. She was a good friend, friendships like that are rare. She was a very special lady.

My father, Jim McDermott, worked for Johnson Controls for over 20 years. He always spoke fondly of Barb and even after my family moved to another state, my parents continued to stay in touch with Barb. My father considered Barb a friend and she helped make his job as a steamfitter easier. I last spoke to Barb after my father passed away in 2012 and she and I had a good conversation about my Dad and Johnson Controls. She will always be remembered as a kind and thoughtful person. I am sorry I did not realize Barb passed away. Every so often I would look her up and I just found her obituary. My condolences to Barb's family.

I just saw this message of Barb's passing. As a young guy just out of college three young engineers started at Johnson Service Co in 1973. Barb was nothing but a peach to us and helped us grow in our position. I'll see you in heaven Barb!

Barb was a wonderful person and very good friend. We met at Johnson Controls and worked together for ten years. We stayed good friends and met for lunch once a month. Her favorites were Chinese buffet on Silver Spring and breakfast at Perkins. She would always bring me a treat, whether she baked something or would stop and get me a loaf of Italian bread and some times a few pieces of bakery. She was a very generous and caring person. Barb was easy to talk to, loyal and not judgmental. People like her are far and few between. I consider myself very lucky to have known her and that we were friends. I'm going to miss her very much...Lois Hudy.
