Dear family of Doug Taipala,
Doug was my cousin...I had not seen him in many years, but have not forgotten the fun times spent in Ishpeming at Aunt Signe and Uncle Art's cottage on the lake...and those crazy guys coming out of the sauna and jumping into the lake in freezing cold weather :) Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers since receiving word of his passing.

It is with great saddness that I heard of Dougs passing to his reward in heaven. I will always remember that great smile and sparkle in his eyes whenever I had the chance to talk with Doug. A true gentleman. I will miss him. My sympathies to all the family.

Dear Taipala family, we are so sorry for your loss. Uncle Doug was a very good man, who enjoyed life. How blessed he was to have a loving wife, children and grandchildren. We will never forget his courage and inspiration. Our hearts are with you during this very sad time. Love Dan, Linda, Sean and Ryan Taipala
