As others have said, Al always had a smile on his face but what I remember most was what a friendly person he was. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time.

I work at one of the utilities Al coordinated with. Like others have said Al always had a smile on his face and he was there to help. I always enjoyed stopping by to say hi and shoot the breeze for a few minutes even when I wasn't working on something with him. He will be missed by all who worked with him over the years.

Kaye and girls. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of al. I always enjoyed chatting with him when I came over to jim and karens house. He was one of those guys you always sought out to chat with.Always had a smile on his face and he was so proud of his girls. The girls are lucky to have a father like him who truly understood what life was all about. I feel very blessed to have been able to call al a friend.

Kaye, Gretchen & Emily, I would like to express my deepest sympathies to you all. I've had the pleasure of working with Al over the years and always enjoyed his great attitude. He was very knowledgeable and great at mentoring others within our Utilities & Railroads Unit of DOT's SE Region. I know I will always appreciate what he has shared with me over the years. He was always kind and considerate to those around him. I too will miss his wonderful smile. His spirit will continue to shine.

It doesn't seem we have grown up and grown old and moved on... yet now as our group gets smaller, we stop and we remember all the good times and good people....and we are thankful for having known each other and being given a few brief days together in this life. Arlo and Kathy Tesmer

I saw Al at many utility meetings over the years and enjoyed his perspective and knowledge. All of us at the DOT would sit around at breaks and lunches and swap stores. I know that everyone who knew him will miss him. I know that is miniscule next to your loss. You have my deepest sympathy.

Boozhoo Al,
I'm sorry to say I haven't kept in touch with you over the years but I still considered you a friend. I know you are sitting at the table of the Great Spirit and telling some of your construction stories you gathered through the years. It was an Honor to know you and may everyone find joy in some part of the life you lived.
Boozhoo My Friend.
