I also had Mr. Schauer for a shop teacher at Horace Mann. I enjoyed all his stories and insights he told of all his experiences. From his class I pretty much figured out what I wanted for a career. I have a lot of good memories of the times in his classes. Thank you Mr.Schauer

Mr. Schauer was the teacher that made the greatest impression on my life, and I will never forget my time with him at Horace Mann. He was truly an inspiration.

To the Schauer family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. I was a student of Mr Schauer at Horace Mann and worked with his daughter in law, Nancy at Boston Store. He was a kind and caring individual who saw that each of his students could succeed if the tried. Under his guidance, we did.
