Gartz, Rev. Robert E. Entered into Eternal Life November 25, 2009, age 78. Beloved husband of 52 years to Ligita (nee Birzgalis). Proud father of Mark (Joyce) and John (Kelly). Loving grandfather of Michael, Jaclyn, Jenna, Janelle and Nathan. Great-grandfather of Arwynn. Preceded in death by his daughter, Maija, infant son James, and sister Patricia Jochman. Born in Appleton, WI, to the late Earl and Agnes Gartz, on Sept. 8, 1931. Graduate of Appleton High School, Carthage College and Northwest Lutheran Seminary. He served as Pastor at Reformation and Pentecost Lutheran churches, Milwaukee, WI, Bethany Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Dells, WI, Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Brookfield, WI and Counselor at Wisconsin Memorial Park and Forest Home Cemetery. Robert was an avid researcher of local history and genealogy, providing volunteer services at Forest Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12 noon, at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK, 13235 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, WI 53005.
