Edward Bainbridge Obituary

Bainbridge, Edward I. "Ed" "Ted" Of Waukesha, died Dec. 28, 2009, at the age of 94. Born on Aug. 10, 1915, in Ableman, WI, the son of John and Agnes (Kosmoski) Bainbridge. Ed married Audrey Kern on July 20, 1946, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, in Waukesha, where he later served on the Board of Elders and the Church Council. He was a mail carrier in Waukesha for many years, and was a WWII Army veteran. Ed enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and making stained glass. Survived by son, Douglas (Lana) Bainbridge of New Berlin; daughter, Sandy Bainbridge of Waukesha; grandchildren, Chad (Aimee) Bainbridge and Carrie (fiancé Kevin Nielson) Bainbridge; great-grandchildren, Callan and Eli; sister, Betty McLean of Crystal Lake, IL; sisters-in-law, Katherine Bainbridge of Baraboo, WI, Violet Lewis of Waukesha, and Doris Kern of Waukesha; brothers-in-law, Jack Meyers of Woodstock, IL, Henry (Jane) Kern of Mayville, WI, Harvey (Elizabeth) Kern of Waukesha; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Audrey, in 2006; sisters, Margaret Squires, Dorothy Bainbridge, and Caroline Meyers; brothers, Raymond, John and Thomas Bainbridge; and his parents. Visitation Sun., Jan. 3, 2010, 2PM until the 4PM funeral service at the funeral home. Rev. Arthur Koepsell will preside. Burial Mon., Jan. 4, 10AM at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials to Grace Ev.
