Blessings to the Splinter family. I ran across this obit looking for Splinter's Pickles. My son married a Pickel and having remembered the pickle name I began a lengthly search. God Bless you all.

Sue Ann:
My son Andy and my younger brother Mark and I all lived in the upstairs at the Splinter farm. Mark was the last to live there. Some of his friends also lived downstairs there, too.
I am so sorry to hear about Frank's passing. It seems like yesterday that you were just building that beautiful house on the river. But I know it has been nearly 12 years since I moved away from there. I have lived in Florida for nearly 10 years, and my son, who was only 10 when we moved, is now 22, and (thankfully!) just returned from a year in Iraq in January 2010.
I remember Frank proudly giving us a tour of the house one afternoon; how proud he was of it, especially that basement with the extra high ceilings and all his collectibles!
My thoughts are with you.

Dear Sue Ann I cannot tell how sorry we were to hear about Frank...I have told a lot of people the story of how by chance Debbie and I stoped at Konkel park on Monday, stood in the back of the tent and out of a sea of people Frank comes walking towards me...It was just by chance that we happen to be there just at that time..but I really look at it as God letting us have a chance to say goodby...Frank was a great guy..Debbie and I will keep you in our prayers and if you need anything just let us know

My dear friend,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You and Frank had such a wonderful life together. I would often leave you, after one of our chats, and think "they really love each other, after all these years". You have had some really difficult times but you weathered them together. I hope the memories of your time together will comfort you.

Sue Ann, my deepest sympathies to you and your family. My wish for you is strength and courage; as much strength and courage as you need to greet the days ahead. Sue Ann and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Frank was a wonderful, caring and fun person. It's so bizarre that I worked for him when I was 16, and then we both ended up at Miller! Every year we'd see you guys at State Fair. He will be missed.

Dear Sue Ann and Family,
Our deepest sympathies and prayers reach out to you from Indiana. Whenever we had the opportunity to be with you and Frank for any number of celebrations, Frank was always doing his very best and making sure everyone was taken care of. If you didn't have a great time around Frank, it was never going to be his fault. Dewey made a friend with Frank when Frank's endless trivia about baseball and football came out. Our warm thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time.
