Hello- My sympathy to you and your family. Karen is my son's girlfriend. I know that she loved her grandpa. I know how difficult it is to lose someone dear. Remember the good times with him. May God be with all of your family.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. May God bless you and your family in this time of great sorrow. I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Don a good good man whom I’ve had the pleasure of knowing thanks to my parents (Ceylon & Martha Strey), for my entire life. You see, Don was my Godfather. I still have those childhood memories of many visits to Don and Elaine’s Hales Corners duplex for dinners, get-togethers, family and fun, and Topper too, the best of times growing up. At the time, I didn’t even know we weren’t really related to Don & Elaine. Being young at the time, and being over at their house so often, the thought never really crossed my mind. I believe Don was also my first employer, pulling weeds in his yard at age fourteen. I sure wish he had explained better just what to pull and what not to pull. I think Elaine may have lost many a good flower bulb to my naïve youth handiwork. Later, Don attended my wedding and was still there for myself and my bride. Don was one of those especially good individuals in life whom cared for and about others throughout his life. He did it his way, quietly.

I will remember Don as a very special man in my life and I am proud to have known him. I also know, Don was the best life long friend, of well over 60 years, to my Father, Bud Strey. That type of life long friendship is very special indeed. May God bless you and your family in this time of your greatest need.
