Renee, I only met you and Jack once, when you were in Israel many years ago. I did not know Jack's story then but was very touched by reading it now. I speak in the name of the extended family in Israel in expressing our sorrow at Jack's passing. May his memory be for a blessing. From the Hall and Golan families.

Jack was an inspiration to me personally, and to so many others. It was a pleasure to host him and Renee at a Hillel Shabbat dinner in November 2009; students were mesmerized by his story and I'm confident that his memory will live on for a long time. I will very much miss seeing him at CEEBJ services and around town.
Renee, children and grandchildren, may you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
Fondly,
Heidi Rattner

Renee, Jeff and Shawn.
What a guy he was. I remember him warmly while working at Bayshore Mall, he would ALWAYS stop in and say hello, tell me a joke or two(some good, some bad)and sometimes offer up some sage advice. He will always occupy a warm spot in my heart. My condolonces to you all, may the Lord grant him peace on his journey to a higher ground. Love to you all.

Dear Renee and Family,
I worked with you and Muriel at Mazur Zachow. I'm so sorry to hear the loss of your Husband and Father. I remember Jack walking at Bayshore Mall and taking the time to talk with us ladies. He was a caring man and I was always happy to have a conversation with him. Looks like Jack left alot of memories for everyone to remember.
I have a little message to share:
"Death leaves a Heartache that no one can Heal"
Love leaves a memory that no one can Steal"
Take care and God bless you all.

Jack came to speak at our library days before his 80th birthday. His stories, how wonderful and terrifying they were. He will live on in the impression he made on the 70 people who came to hear him speak. Sleep well, Jack, may you find your family finally, and keep your eternity in peace. Thank you.

Thank you to Jack and all his family for sharing your personal experiences as Holocaust victims and survivors. To take such a tragedy and transform it to seeds of love and tolerance through the re-telling, is perhaps the greatest triumph over tragedy. I did not know of this story while Jack lived, but I am deeply touched. I feel sure the young people to whom he spoke, will never, ever, forget him. Nor will I. Bless all your family. With my sincere gratitude,

MY CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY OF JACK DYGOLA, YESTERDAY OR TUESDAY, I READ THE OBIT WITH REGARD TO JACK, AS THE NAME IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT TO MY MIND, SOMEONE THAT I HAD MET MANY YEARS AGO. TODAY, THURSDAY, WITH THE PICTURES SHOWN, AND JACK WORKING AT THE COUNTER OF THE GROCERY STORE, I, LIKE YVONNE LEVINE, MET JACK AT THE JCC ON PROSPECT MANY YEARS AGO.

OF COURSE, AT THE TIME, I KNEW VERY LITTLE OF WHAT HE HAD LIVED THROUGH IN HIS RECENT PAST. I HAVE THE UTMOST RESPECT FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS LIVED THROUGH THOSE DAYS, AND WAS ABLE TO RECOVER, SOMEWHAT TO LEAD A LIFE OF NORMALCY.
