Carol M. Welch Notice
Welch, Carol M. (Née Gellings) 80, died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Loving wife of the late Lewis Welch. Loving mother of Randall (Teri) Welch and Jalaine Ward (nee Welch). Dear grandmother of Darin and David Welch and Tyler and Jonathan Ward. Fond sister of Lloyd (Beverly) Gellings, Arleen (Leroy) Pfeil. Sister-in-law of Esther (the late Glenn) Gellings. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by brothers Melvin (the late Nell), Alan (the late Elaine) and Glenn. Carol was born February 11, 1933 and raised in the town of Raymond. She was a long time member of Whitnall Park Lutheran Church and worked for many years for Schwertzer's Meat Service, Glenn and Esther's Countryside Restaurant, and later became a licensed home health aide where she cared for "her ladies". Carol loved to care for others and especially cared for her family. Carol was a loving wife and kind hearted mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She loved music, dancing and singing with her brothers and sister and entertaining friends and family. She especially liked serving her "famous" chocolate chip cookies to her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. We cannot count the times memories were made around her kitchen table as her family and friends gathered to visit, pray together, tell jokes, and solve the world's problems. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all. Funeral Service Tuesday, November 19, at 10:00 AM, at Whitnall Park Lutheran Church (5847 Lilac Ln., Hales Corners). Visitation Monday 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home and Tuesday 9:00 AM until time of service at church. Interment Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Whitnall Park Lutheran Church in memory of Carol.
