Cesar J. Remus M.D. Notice
Remus, Cesar J., M.D. Went home on January 29, 2013, surrounded by people who loved him. Cesar was born August 6, 1929 in San German, Puerto Rico, son of Robert and Juanita and brother of Idelisa. He was an "Orgullo Boricua." He worked his entire life as an Anesthesiologist at the Zablocki VA Hospital and also taught at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He attended every Olympic Game from 1972 through 2000 and enjoyed Track and Field events worldwide, was a 30-year Bucks season ticketholder and loved the Packers, Brewers and tennis. He left behind many who loved him including his caretaker and best friend David Orn, friends Marcie, Elisabeth, Anibal, Jimmy, Susie, Mary, Greg, Barry, Gary, Mark, Hans and Texas "Artest." Special thanks to those who loved and cared for him at the end of his days; Joan, Tonya, Staci, Cliff, Barbara, Tricia, Corrine, Debbie, Chris and all the wonderful people at both Catholic and Lutheran Homes and at Vitas Hospice. Cesar resided at Yankee Hill for 33 years and was a regular at the Clock Steak House, Kegel's Inn, Calderone Club, 3rd St. Pier, Baker Street, the Jazz Estate, Riptide and his final haunt, Victor's. Thanks to all who served and mingled with Cesar there. You were his family. He loved his Jazz and was a master chair-dancer. A memorial gathering will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7 from from 5PM until 7PM with a service at 6PM. Vaya Con Dios, Oso Mio. Brett Funeral Home 2001 W.
