Clair Culver Notice
Culver, Clair On September 10, 2013, the last wave crashed in. Clair smiled, looked into the face of Jesus, took hold of his out stretched hand and went home ending his ALS suffering. Clair was 73 years old and was the unique husband of his peculiar wife Lorna (nee Pages). He was the proud father of Scott (Kathleen) Culver and Carolyn (Daniel) Prahl. He was the step-father to Marc (Carol) McTrusty, Lance McTrusty and Scott (Lynda) McTrusty and grandfather to 10 grandchildren. He was the special brother of Kenneth (Suzanne) Culver of Lancaster, Ohio and brother-in-law of Edith (William) Czajkowski of Plano, Texas and special friend of his first wife Mary (nee Lindquist) (Thomas) Litzow. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends. A very special thank you to Pastor Czaplewski, the ALS Association, Heartland Hospice and the VA Hospital for their care and compassion since he was diagnosed with ALS. Clair was in the printing business for 51 years and the owner of Northwestern Printing Company. He was also an avid bowler and bowled a sanctioned 300 game. His gentle ways, kindness and sense of humor will be deeply missed. Visitation will be at MT. CALVARY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2862 N. 53 Street, Milwaukee on September 21 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with the funeral service immediately following. Private interment at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. In lieu of flowers, Clair's wishes were that any donations would go to the Mt. Calvary Foundation or the ALS Association for research.
