I thought of Dante today. I worked with him 30 years ago selling cars. I was 23, he was 73. I absolutely loved talking with this man! I learned so much! I´m sure he quickly forgot me after I had left the company, but he made an impression on a young man that will clearly last a lifetime.

Thank you, Dante.

First let me offer my deepest sympathies to Dante's family and all his many friends. I met Dante 15 years ago when I first started working at UMOS. He was such a sweet man. Every time that he stopped by the office, I could always count on him for a smile, a joke and a hug that would just make my day! He was always so happy. He helped so many during his time here on earth. He was truly and angel that walked among us. He was loved by so many and will be forever missed.

For the short time I worked with Dante at UMOS, it didn't take him long to preserve a special place in my heart. He certainly was a one of a kind and has left his mark on this earth like no other. His charisma and lust for life should be an example to all that he has touched. You enjoyed your journey here on earth, now relax and enjoy your journey into the spirit world my friend.

All i want to say to the family is "un Millon de Gracias" I know all the work Dante did for the community was done because he was passionate and wanted only what was fair for all, but as his family you had to be there to support him through it all. I met him while working at UMOS and he always had a big smile on his face, i never heard him complining even once...all his work will always be remembered and celebrated. Thank you so much and may he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

A gentleman's gentleman whose visits to our home in Mequon with his wife Ines were an essay in class, dignity and spirited fun. He was the first man to put me behind a radio console and while I didn't know it then, he clearly recognized that I belonged there. God Bless you Dante. We will never see your like again.

Dante was a true pioneer in the Milwaukee Latino community. A man who stayed committed to the cause long after others faded. He was the voice of Milwaukee from the very beginning and to the very end. I remember as a young boy my parents listening to his radio show on weekends. He was our first media star. And, later he was voice of the movement. Rest in peace Dante.

To the family of Dante Narravo,
Dante was a true farmworker advocate. I will always remember his smile and infamous words that he would always share with me. He would always stop me and say, "Joven aquí estamos luchando para mejora la vida de nuestros compañeros. Vamos Dándole ganas hasta que Diosito me mande llamar”! May you find solace and joy at his work knowing that he has touched so many lives and gave them hope! God be with you and your family.

To Dante's Family & Friends:
I first met Dante at a demonstration at the UWM Campus during the student and community uprising and attempted take over of the Dean's office to convince the school of the provision of services to the Hispanic Community. I them met him again during the Caesar Chavez walk for Migrant Rights. This was in the 60s.I was inspired by his dedication to the community and his ability to very eloquently and with much dignity put university and other officials in their place when they tried to dismiss the protesters demands. When I began work at UMOS 24 yrs ago, I discovered to my surprise and pleasure that Dante was still advocating for the migrant community as a UMOS employee. I continued to be impressed by his continued dedication, stamina and energy and most importantly by his power of persuasion in his advocacy for the rights of the under served and under represented. His dedication, work and smiling will face be sorely missed.
