Dorothy Mae Buddin Notice
Buddin, Dorothy Mae (Nee Rostermundt) Age 94 years. Found eternal peace January, 17, 2011. Dorothy is preceded in death by a beloved mother and "friend" Augusta "Gussie", devoted father Harry "Friday" Rostermundt and sisters Helen and Ruth. She passed on from the Zilber Family Hospice Facility Wauwatosa, Wisconsin as the result of a long and diligent fight with cancer. She is the loving mother of James Buddin, Grandmother of Daniel Buddin and Kristin (Jeremy) Taylor and the very proud Great Grandmother to Jacob Taylor. She leaves behind her younger brother Robert (Marge) Rostermundt, 14 nieces and nephews, 30 great-nieces and nephews, along with a host of close, devoted and dear friends. She gave 61 years of faithful service to the Apostle Presbyterian Church, serving in numerous capacities: Church school teacher and superintendent, Cancel Choir member, Deacon, Vestry, Vestry moderator, Session, clerk of Session; member, past moderator and treasurer of the Presbyterian Women's Association. Born in Manning, Iowa November 5, 1916 she and the family relocated to Milwaukee, where she was employed as a bookkeeper for Langer Laboratories and Seimans Corporation, retiring at age 65. Not being one to be idle she closed out her career with the Boston Store, retiring for the second time at age 88. Always pressed and quaffed (her reward to herself was a weekly visit to the beauty salon). She enjoyed traveling, the company of family and friends and anything "sweet", known to always have room for desert, "just a little something." She will be truly missed. The family wishes to recognize the tireless efforts and compassion of the Aurora Hospice Visiting Nursing Staff as well as the staff at the Zilber Family Hospice. We can not thank them enough for making the last months, days and hours of Dorothy's time on earth comfortable. To all of you that visited her in her home at Heritage West Allis and Zilber, I thank you for doing so, and for including her in your prayers. You have all been a true blessing. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to Aurora Zilber, 1155 Honey Creek Pkwy., Wauwatosa, Wisconsin 53213. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011, 2 PM at Apostle Presbyterian Church, 1509 S. 76th St., West Allis, Wisconsin (414-476-2043). ...The Peace of the Lord be with her now, and also with you...
