Krause, Gerald F. "Jerry" Of Brookfield. Died unexpectedly March 6, 2010, at the age of 64. Beloved husband and best friend for 41 years to Kathy (nee Tietz). Loving father of Ed (Kelly) Krause, Judy (Susan Winans) Krause and Susie (John) Paunan. Proud grandpa of Sydney and Addy Paunan. Dear brother of Art (Meljay) Krause. Treasured son-in-law of Catherine and the late Howard Tietz. Brother-in-law of Howard (Shirley) Tietz and Paul (Connie) Tietz. Preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Florence Krause. Also lovingly survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Jerry owned and operated the Friedman Tobacco & Candy Company for the past 26 years with his wife Kathy and has been in the business for over 47 years. He is a proud Alum of Messmer High School Class of 1963. He was a collector of brewery memorabilia and stamps. Jerry possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of baseball statistics and was an avid Milwaukee baseball fan. He also enjoyed cigars, jazz music, traveling, and playing Black Jack. Cooking had become a passion and he was always ready to share his creations and make his delicious fresh-squeezed lemonade. Visitation Friday, March 12, at the funeral home, from 3PM until 7PM. Relatives and friends may join Jerry's family on Saturday for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15AM, at St. John Vianney Church (1755 North Calhoun Rd.), with graveside services to follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jerry's name would be appreciated to Messmer High School or the Urban Ecology Center.
