Dey, Gordon W. Found peace on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, age 79 years. Loving husband for 59 years to Carrol Dey. Dear Father of Brian (Diane) and the late Jeffrey (Mary) Dey. Proud grandfather of Jason (Karina), Chris (Jenny), Tim (Summer), Jennifer, Brad and Ashley Dey; Ben (Melissa) Reynolds, Christopher Reynolds and David Palmen. Great-grandpa of Owen, Camryn, Claire, Jack, Carly, Audrey and Avabella and Amelie. Special friend of Jerry Dahl. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel Dey. Brother of Floyd (Mary Nell) Dey, Mel (Nancy) Dey and Elvera (Dale) Meddaugh. Further survived by many other relatives and friends. Gordon was a retiree of Milwaukee Forge after 44 years, an active Lake Band Parent, active member of Lutheran Chapel of the Cross serving as a Church Elder, a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War and a member of Alonzo Cudworth Post No. 23, American Legion. A thank you to Dr. Mateo, Dr. Leo and the staff of the ICU at Aurora Sinai Medical Center for their care and compassion. Visitation at the Funeral Home Tuesday, October 9, 2012, 4:00-7:00 PM. Visitation also on Wednesday, October 10, 9:00-10:00 AM at LUTHERAN CHAPEL OF THE CROSS, 3353 S. Whitnall Ave. Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Entombment and military honors to follow at Arlington Park Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the church or the Parkinson's Association are appreciated.
