It's 5 months and I still think God made a mistake. For a very brief moment I thought I might know what my purpose was after retirement from teaching for MPS next year. That went away as soon as it came. I'm not good enough for anything. Why didn't he take me? You had a future. I don't. You were supposed to grow old with Ericka. I have no one to grow old (sorry older) with. I just don't understand. I only pray that I may be joining you soon. I love you with all my heart.

Son,
I miss you with all my heart. If I could, I would trade places with you in a heartbeat. A child is never supposed to go before his parent.A heartfelt thank you to the angels (witnesses) who talked to and prayed for Jason in his last moments. I am trying to make sense of all this. I know you loved Ericka with all your heart and she you. I know that you will live on through the organ and tissue donations you gave. You will be helping over 60 people. Just like you to do that. You will also live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved you. Who's going to find me that good nursing home when it comes time for me to be in one? :) I need a sign to know that you are in a better place and that all of this will be ok. I can't stop weeping. My heart aches so! You were a part of me and a part of me has died. I will forever love you.
Love always,
Mom

My mother was Lotta's first cousin and I am her second cousin so I am a cousin of Jason's (who grew up in NY). After hearing about him, and reading about him, I can only say I am so sorry I didn't know him. He sounds like a tribute to all his dear family! My sympathy and regards to all his family.

Wish I would have gotten the chance to meet Jason. My wife Paula did. She's Matthew's mother-in-law.Although I didn't have the chance to meet him on earth,I know without a doubt I'll get to someday,in the presence of our Lord and Savior,Jesus Christ.
Although it's so very hard for the survivors to understand,God had other plans for Jason. It's not our place to question God but to give Him honor and praise no matter what. This life, whether one lives to be 3,31 or 101 is but a wisp,a blink of an eye compared to eternity.
The service for Jason was wonderful and moving. Was pleased the minister(and Jason's brother Brian) placed great importance on where all of us are headed for eternity. If it even made ONE person think about their own eternal destination,it was well worth it.
Rest easy Jason and I look forward to meeting you someday.

Dear Friends and Family of Jason,
My cognitively disabled daughter, Cathy, has worked for Jason in food service for the past several years. He encouraged Cathy, believed in her ability and she soared. Our last conversation with Jason was several weeks ago. He just wanted to make sure Cathy was feeling ok because she seemed a tad sad that day. Her work he said continued to be excellent. "I just thought you would want to know that Cathy is doing very well," he said.
That was Jason. Kind, giving, always thinking of others.
Cathy, like most of you sobbed, when she heard he had died. To her, he was more than a boss. She respected him and loved him dearly. The imprint he made on Cathy's life will last forever.
