Jim Stark Obituary

Stark, Jim Taken from us too soon, September 8, 2009, age 58. Beloved husband and best friend of Sandy (nee Clayton) for over 32 years. Loving father of Chris age 31 (Beth), Eric age 24, Kevin age 23, and Katie age 17. Dear brother of Lisbeth (Ron) Lenke, Scot (Heidi) Stark and Doug (Denise) Stark. Special cousin of Kathy (Dennis) Leiberg, Greg (Peg) Bohl and Jennifer (Tim) Doughman. Best childhood friend of Bob Prindiville, with whom he enjoyed spending time with going up north, either alone or with his family. Family especially thanks Todd, an EMT who was with him at his time of need, and Gail Spence, for all their loving support. He will be dearly missed by his wonderful neighbors, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jim was very active in his church as a religious teacher. He was the tile man of the neighborhood and loved helping others. Jim was in charge of the neighborhood Packer pool, bowled in a couples league with his neighbors, and even dressed up as Santa on a few occasions. Often he could be found riding his bike and visiting with neighbors. He loved playing his guitar, listening to his albums and was an avid Bob Dylan fan. Visitation at ST. ANTHONY CATHOLIC CHURCH, N74 W13604 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls, Sunday, September 13, 1-5 PM. Mass of Christian Burial 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the family. Jim was an organ and tissue donor; please consider donating blood in his honor.

Sandy and Family,
I worked with Jim back when I was at the Oshkosh WWTP. SF labs did all our WET testing and it was such a pleasure working with Jim. A professional, and true steward of the environment.
We "talked shop" at many of the regional operator meetings. I will miss him. God bless and comfort you over the difficult times.

We are so sad that the Stark Family is experiencing this extremely sudden and difficult loss. Our memories of Jim are so fond and happy. He is a special man that brought great light to the lives of those who had the privilege to know him, not to mention an incredible tile job. We can't begin to explain how sorry we are for Sandy, the kids, extended family including "the neighbors" and all others who are experiencing the pain of losing Jim. Our hearts are broken.

Dear Sandy and Family,
I can still remember visiting your home and seeing the gorgeous tile work Jim had created. It's not surprising he was an organ and tissue donor, either. That is the kind of man he was. Words don't seem adequate at a time like this to express the sorrow we feel for your loss. Please know he made a positive impact on all he came in contact with... and that will live on through you and your beautiful family. May God bless you with peace through this difficult time.

Sandy & Family -
Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for you, your children, your extended family and all the people who knew and loved Jim. While I never had the privilege of meeting Jim, the sentiments expressed by those who loved him and the stories told about him speak volumes about the wonderful person that he was. He obviously had a profound effect on all who came into contact with him. What a wonderful legacy! May you find solace in that legacy and know that he lives on through each of you, his family, and in the memories of all who knew him. May God wrap you in his loving embrace and comfort you today and in the coming days and months.

Sandy, Chris, Eric, Kevin & Katie,
You know there could never be enough words to express the way we feel about all of you. You know how much we loved Jim and how very much he will be missed in our lives. I know our lives are that much better for having known him and the world is that much sadder for having lost him. I never try to question God's decisions because I know he always chooses the best ones first. When we cry, we cry for ourselves, and our loss. We must be truly happy for Jim, now in heaven.
We love you all and hope you know that we will always be there for your family because you are part of our family.

We are the parents of Megan Ithier who forwarded your dear husband's obituary to us requesting prayers for you and your children during this sad time. You and your family will be in our prayers as you grieve the loss of this loving man. As is so true when someone so young dies , even with our faith, it is so difficult to bear. While we are at a loss to know why such good people leave us so young, and do not know why they die, we do know , as you do, why he lived ...as expressed in the kindness, love and generosity he shared with you, your children, family, friends, neighbors, church communities. As our lord gave the breath of life to your husband, he passed on this breath of life to so many others. Blessings as you work through your profound grief. Katie and Hugh McManus.

Dear Sandy & Family,

Although there are no words that can express your loss, I hope your memories stay alive in your hearts forever.

I can just picture Jim helping John and Frank with the chickens on the spit for Tyler's graduation party. Jim was always willing to help his neighbors and truly is the definition of neighborly. He will truly be missed.
