Lena Mae Sommers Notice
Sommers, Lena Mae (Nee Jackson) Passed away on May 7, 2013, age 69. Beloved wife of David P. Sommers. Dear mother of Damion (Susan) Jackson, Jason (Michelle) and Michele Sommers, Sonia (Nicholas) and Quinester (Dan) Dixon-Ward. Proud grandmother of Chasity, Antonio, MiLena, Sonia, Diana, Damion, Jr., Alexis, Jessica, Rachel, Desiree, Ann Marie and Morgan. She is also survived by caring nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends too numerous to mention. Lena worked in her community in many ways including serving on the Board of Directors of Neighborhood House, Milwaukee Indian Health Board, Hope House, Central City Churches, P.E.P.C.S.I., Reformation Lutheran Church, Cornerstone High School and at the time of her death, president of the Board of the Nehemiah Project. She lived life to the fullest, faced many challenges and overcame them all.
Visitation has MOVED from Schmidt & Bartelt, 10121 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa, to:
OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3022 W. WISCONSIN AVE., MILWAUKEE, WI 53208
on Friday, May 10, 2013, 3:00 PM until the time of Funeral Service at 6:30 PM. Parking available on Wells Street or in the Tripoli Shrine Center. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the Nehemiah Project appreciated.
