Kartschoke, Mary S. (Nee Clark ) May 31, 2015 at the age of 67 yrs. Resident of Whitefish Bay. Beloved wife of Richard A. "Dick" Kartschoke . Loving mother of Christopher (Michelle), Ronald and Andrew Kartschoke. Proud Grandmother of Nicholas, Kaitlyn and Josuha. Further survived by Zetty and Kona, other relatives and friends. Mary was the longtime beautician at the Milwaukee Catholic Home. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for helping people in need and doing whatever she could to help those less fortunate. For much of her adult life, she endured a debilitating struggle with rheumatoid arthritis. In spite of this, she never allowed this to dampen her enthusiasm for life, or cloud her optimism for seeing the good in everyone she met. Mary had a unique gift for brightening everyone's day. In her later years she loved spending time outside and dominating the daily crossword puzzle. Her lasting legacy will forever be her loving family and her indomitable spirit to live life on her terms - cheerfully. Visitation will take place on Monday, June 8 after 4:00 PM at St. Monica Catholic Parish; N. Santa Monica Blvd at E. Silver Spring Dr., Whitefish Bay, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:00 PM. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery will be private.

I did not have the privilege of meeting Mary personally. I do consider myself honored to know her son Andy. Andy shared stories of his mother's strength, love, sense of humor and refusal to let lives negative events shape her as a person. I have no doubt that her legacy of love, compassion, understanding and strength live on in the heart, souls and actions of her family and friends. My condolences and prayers to Mary's family.

We missed Mary dearly when she retired from Milwaukee Catholic Home. She always had a smile and a kind word for everybody! I was just going to call her to see if she'd do some knitting for us for our fall bazaar! Her things always sold out immediately! Please know that residents and staff of Milwaukee Catholic Home will remember Mary and your family in our prayers.
