Ralph Evans Obituary
Ralph Earnest Evans began his broadcast engineering career at WHA in Madison, Wisconsin in 1946. He was a co-founder and the guiding technical force behind Bartell Broadcasting, a Milwaukee-based national broadcasting and publishing corporation. Together with his wife, Rosa Bartell Evans, they built and operated AM, FM and TV Stations throughout the northern hemisphere, which included WOKY-AM and TV in Milwaukee, WMTV in Madison, Tele-Curacao in the Netherland Antilles, and facilities in San Francisco, New York, Atlanta, Phoenix, Miami and other cities.
In 1968, he and his sons, Ralph Evans, Jr. and Ben Evans founded Evans Associates, which provides consulting services to broadcast, educational, government and public safety agencies.
Ralph was truly one of the best of the greatest generation.
Funeral services 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at Congregation Shalom, 7630 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Fox Point. Interment Mound Zion Cemetery, 14510 W. North Ave., Brookfield.

I am so deeply saddened by the passing of Ralph, who was like a father to me. My heartfelt condolences to Rosa, Rick, Bruce, Ben, and all the others who loved him. He is a great man who led a great life and enriched all of us whose lives he touched.

It was a pleasure to know Ralph, and his wife Rosa. I didn't know him as well as Rosa, but there close loving relationship is what will stay in my mind.
