Notice Condolences

Zobel, Raymond Louis January 18, 1926-February 16, 2013, of Tucson, AZ. Ray died at age 87 due to a severe head injuries the result of a vehicle accident in the Tuscon community of Saddlebrooke. He was preceded in death by Delores Novack, his wife of 38 years in 2003. He is survived by sons, Eric (Connie) of Tucson, Kurt (Carolyn) of Nanning, CA, daughter Aileen (Mike) Fields of Round Rock, TX; brother Clifford (Judith) of Milwaukee, WI,. Five grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ray was born in Milwaukee and became an outstanding scholar and athlete (football, swimming and track) at Bay View High 1943 and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (cross country and track) graduating in 1946 with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and Commission as a Naval Ensign. After seven years active duty and seventeen years reserve duty he retired as a Commander. His engineering position had him living in, Milwaukee, WI, San Fernando Valley, CA and Houston, TX. He was an active member of his communities, the Republican Party and various charities. While living in Tucson, Ray enjoyed theater and community musical events and always was up for a visit to historical locations or natural scenic areas. Ray was cremated and his ashes will be scattered in a suitable place after reflection by the family.
