Peter and Aimee -- So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. RoJean told me and I was saddened to hear the news. Even though I'd only met your Dad a few times, it was easy to see what a kind and special person he was. I always thought you were so lucky to have such a wonderful Dad. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your whole family. God Bless.

Mim, Heidi, Andrew and family,
Jim and I are so saddened for your loss. Bob was a wonderful man with a kind spirit. I remember the first time I met him was when you both allowed the Don & Ruth Jean Reid of Downers Grove, Ill. to renew their wedding vows in your home. It was such a touching event and the kindness to these two people, which you didn’t know until this event, speaks to the quality of people you are. We will miss Bob but will remember him fondly in our hearts.

The Krahn:

Donna and I were saddened to learn of Bob's death. We can not asauge your pain or your tremendous loss with mere words. The "vacuum" his trip to heaven leaves in your lives is too immense right now but we hope you will fill it with the abundant, rich memories of a loving husband and devoted father.

With a deep sense of sympathy, Don and Donna Casey, Waukesha, WI

Losing someone so well-loved and much too soon is incredibly difficult. Your family has been in our thoughts throughout all of this, and we will continue to pray for you in the months to come.

Bob was such a strong person. Draw from that, teach it to the little ones and keep telling those wonderful stories about him.

I only knew Bob in a professional way, and always had a warm and friendly relationship with him. He made himself comfortable in our office. We had many interesting banters and laughter. I remember that he drank the most awful coffee and was always willing to finish off the last dregs of the pot--regardless of how long it had been cooking. We'll miss him. Our deepest condolences to the family.

Dear Mim, Ben, AJ, Heidi, and Peter,

The card I mailed today may not reach you before the funeral, so allow me to express electronically my condolences and to promise my prayers for you and for all who mourn Bob's death, and celebrate his birth to eternal life. I will be in Rapid City, SD from tonight until Wednesday night and thus will not be able to be with you in Milwaukee. I have celebrated a Mass for Bob's full healing and happiness, however, and will continue to lift him daily to the Lord's compassionate care. I'm so thankful I could visit Bob several times during his illness, including the wonderful retreat weekend at Demontreville when he came with AJ. AJ, I know you will treasure that memory among many others. Our belief in the communion of saints assures us that Bob now has God's ear in a special way and prays for us until we enjoy him, and all the saints, in loving union with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Christ's love and peace,
Fr. Rob Kroll, S.J.

Dear Krahn Family, Please accept our sympathy in the loss of Bob.

I will never forget the night that we were at a meeting at St Jude and I asked that the parish have a ProLife Group. He as the President of the Council said, "You will not leave this room tonight without one!"

I am eternally grateful. May his soul rest in peace.

Peter and family, as you know I had the privledge of meeting your father at a golf event several years back. Your father was one of those people that when you met him for the first time, you felt like you knew him forever, and vice versa. He was so personable and approachable. I will forever remember his friendship and appreciate the kind manner he had with everyone! He was special!

Dear Mim & Family:

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you deal with Bob's passing. You were blessed knowing that Bob's life was limited and so as a family, you used those precious times to be together and appreciate all that you have. Bob was ready as all of you were ready, to let go and let him move on to the Kingdom. It was his faith along with yours tha you believe that Bob's "life is simply changed not ended." I was glad to have been in Milwaukee a few weeks ago to spend some time with Bob. Please know I hold you all in prayer during this difficult time.

Fraternally yours in the Risen Christ,

Fr. Marv Knighton
