Hammen, Sara Jane (Nee Suycott) Sara Jane Hammen was born to eternal life on April 19, 2017 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Robert F. Hammen, Jr. Loving mother of Bradley (Jennifer) Bailey. Dear stepmother to Chad (Yorleni Vargas) Hammen, Cory (Stephanie) Hammen and Christy (David) Butler. Devoted "Grandma Monkey" to Sara, Nate, Emily, Rhett, Dario, Tao and Paige. Preceded in death by her parents Leo E. Suycott and Sara (nee Brady) Bookhammer. Survived by her brothers James (Carol) Suycott, William (Paulette) Suycott and Robert (Cynthia) Suycott. Also survived by nieces Sheryl (Rip) Price, Kimberly (Jeff) Halmekangas and nephew Steven (Jacqueline) Suycott. Her greatest joys in life were being a wife, mother, grandmother and her dog Bella. Sara retired from the Wisconsin Gas Company after 30 years of employment. She was a graduate and instructor of the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training Course and also earned her Real Estate license. A private memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Sara's name would be appreciated.
