Steven Dhuey worked for me at the Center on Education and Work during the early nineties. He was bright and efficient with all of the tasks to help us take the Careers Conference from 400 to 1800 attendees. In addition, he helped me with the editing of my dissertation. I left the Center in 1996 after finishing my Ph.D. I kept in contact with Steve and wrote several recommendation letters for him as he moved through his career. It was so rewarding to help him with his effort to be accepted into Law School. He was accepted at many prestigious universities around the U.S. I know that he chose the university that gave him a full ride financially. I was one of his references to be called by one of the professors when the university was in the screening process.
It was a sad day to learn about the passing of Steven at such a young age. He was so bright and had much to offer this world. To the friends and family of Steven, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
