Walter R. Just Notice
Just, Walter R. At the age of 90 Walter died ("D-E-D") peacefully with his family at his side on July 17, 2013. Walter leaves behind his cherished wife of 40 years, Jan Just. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Antoinette. Walter was the proud father of Judy (Richard) Jakes, Jim (Lynn) Just, Joan Just, Jerry (Beth) Just, Jackie (Brad) Hinke, Nann (Sam) Anderson, Jane (Kenneth) Edwards, Jeanette (Sean) McCarthy and Leah (Steven) Felt. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Walter was the oldest of ten children, of which two brothers and four sisters have died, and is survived by brother, Stanley (Shirley) Just, sister Therese Juszczak and brother Paul (Barbara) Juszczak. Walter enjoyed a lifelong involvement with music and as a master of multiple instruments, he was well-known and respected throughout the Milwaukee Musical Community. As a U.S. Army Sergeant during World War II, he earned several honors during his participation in the liberation of Italy. Walter had an illustrious 30 year career at The Milwaukee Journal during the heyday of print advertising as the General Advertising Sales Manager. The family wishes to thank James Volberding, MD and Ann from Stowell Associates for their kind expertise and care. Private services were held at the Feerick Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Whitefish Bay Community Band, c/o Educator's Credit Union, 7139 N. Port Washington Road, Milwaukee, WI 53217.
