I just happened to read the Milwaukee news today and had to gasp. I reside in Illinois. Mary Styne helped me and my husband with the purchase of our very first home in Milwaukee in 1996. She was the very first person we told that we decided to marry. Resting now was a dear dear Angel. All of our prayers to the family.

I am a candidate with the RCWP and am proud of the courage Mary took as a pioneer to witness to the value of women in the church and the right of women to be ordained. I know she is rejoiceing in heaven and will be one of our patron saints for RCWP. Peace to all of Mary's family and friends.
Love and prayers to you!

Mary was a good woman , a great friend, a extraordinary healer. At the end of her life she became an inspiration to all who she touched. She will be missed and yet.....we know she will be in our hearts always.

Those of us with the Call of the Lord to priesthood know the struggle, sadness and injustice which Mary faced. She chose a course true to her conscience. I am proud to have known her.

Mary's courage was evident when I last saw her at the hospice. She was a pioneer for all women of the Catholic faith. God's speed, Mary!
