Carol H. Herro Notice
Herro, Carol H. Beloved wife, loving mother and grandmother, was born onto eternal life on March 10, 2014. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on February 14, 1937, to Edward and Nejla (Betehia) Herro; who preceded her in death. With her family, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, as a teen. At age 19 she returned to Milwaukee when she married the love of her life, Bernard "Duke" Herro, who welcomes her to Paradise. Although she trained as a hairdresser, Carol and her husband were in the tavern and grocery business for many years. She retired from the US Postal Service. She worked tirelessly for her church. Carol served as president of the American, Syrian Lebanese Ladies Club and was a member of the Midwest Federation of American Syrian Lebanese Clubs, Inc., from whom she received a "Woman of the Year" award. Her most cherished role was that of mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her children, Bernard (Dana) Herro, Deborah (Nick) Saseen, Janelle Herro, and Theresa Herro (Ghazi Al Abdul Raheem). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Dr. Khalid and Yasmine Al Abdul Raheem, Eva Saseen, and Bernard "Duke" Herro. Also surviving her is her brother, Alan Herro. May the angels welcome her to Paradise and may her memory be eternal. Visitation Friday, March 14, at the Funeral Home from 4:30PM until time of Trisagion Service at 7:30PM. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 15, at St. George Melkite Greek Catholic Church, 1617 W. State St., in Milwaukee, from 10:30AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the Church would be appreciated.
