Gebhardt, Patricia Ann (Nee Burns ) Went to Heaven on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Patty, loving wife of Arthur Gebhardt for 63 years, and daughter of George Aloysius Burns and Catherine Ellen Mathie Burns, was born on July 24, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Patty's greatest love was her family. She is survived by her husband Arthur; her siblings, Mary Frances Burns and John Joseph Burns (Andree); Dear mother of Ellen Nygaard (Tom), Georgia Gebhardt Junkunc, Patty Neubert (Dave), Peter Gebhardt (Jim), Sarah Hammill (Gordy), and Mary Devine (Dan); Beloved Poppy to Anna Cole (Eric), Gretchen Nygaard, Erik Nygaard (Anne), Nick and Sebbie Junkunc, Jen Konicek (Matt), Liz and Dan Lee, Andie Cuttiford (Tom), Matthew Hammill, Teresa Gebhardt Cameron, Connor, Maddy and Maeve Devine; and 6 great-grandchildren, and a loving extended family and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph John Gebhardt, son-in-law Laddie Junkunc, brother and sister-in-law George and Ruth Burns. Patty was the valedictorian of her Holy Angels High School class of 1946; she attended Marquette University and graduated from Cardinal Stritch College with a BA in French. Patty was a living example of God's love on earth. As a longtime member of St. Eugene's Catholic Church, she initiated the parish's involvement in St. Ben's meal program and weekly adoration. While attending St. William's Catholic Church in Naples, Florida she was a Eucharistic minister to the homebound and delivered meals on wheels. Patty was a lay Carmelite and a lifelong advocate for the unborn and migrant workers. The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation for the kindness, love, and excellent care given to Patty by her caregivers, Cathy Hartman and Aga Wydra. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 9, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at St. Eugene Catholic Church, corner of Port Washington Road and Calumet Road, Fox Point, followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Eugene Church, 7600 N. Port Washington Rd., Fox Point, WI 53217 or Prolife Across America P. O.
