Paula M. "Polly" Brouwer Notice
Brouwer, Paula M. "Polly" (Née Heinrich) Age 69. Passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Survived by Roy, her loving soul mate, loving and devoted mother to Lisa (Jay) Blazek, Andy (Carolynne) Stanioch and Mike Stanioch. World's best grandma to Aaron, Adam, Drew, Grant and Alyson. Dear sister of Barbara (Lee) Beach and Joan Richter. Further survived by many friends, family, co-workers, guardian of Zeke, Aspen Callie and Tulip. Preceded in death by parents, Casper and Paula Heinrich.

Paula's biggest joy in life was her family. She enjoyed traveling throughout the state to the beaches of Mexico and the Alaskan coast. She also enjoyed biking, concerts in the park, kayaking, tennis, snowshoeing and most important, sleepovers with her grandchildren.

Paula was an employee of Northwestern Publishing House for 16 years.

A special thanks to the extraordinary care from Dr. Ritch, Helen, Margaret, Lori and all the other angels in the Faith Clinic at Froedtert Cancer Center. Also special thanks to Horizon Hospice and their wonderful caring staff: Jenn, Liz and team, and to Florida and Annette for being there in the final hours.

A celebration of Paula's life will be held Sun., April 13, from 2PM until time of services at 3 PM with a reception to follow at Fox River Congregational Church, N34 W23575 Capitol Dr., Pewaukee, WI.

A few months before her death, Paula enrolled in a study through the Medical College of Wisconsin; her cancerous tumors will be studied to benefit pancreatic cancer research.
