Carmella "Carm" Kurek Notice
Kurek, Carmella "Carm" (Nee Pipito ) passed away on Earth Day, April 22, 2014, at age 84. Proceeded in death by parents Theresa (nee Teriaca) and Biagio "Bill" Pipito of Milwaukee's Historic 3rd Ward; brother, Frank; sister, Rosalie Beutler and brother Anthony. Survived by brother Peter (Beverly); son, Clinton Gallagher (ne Kurek), daughter, Teresa (Michael) Schultz; grandchildren, Tyler and Danna Schultz; aunts, uncles, cousins of the family lineage: Kureks, Carinis, Pipitos, Teriacas, DeMottos, and her many friends. Secondary to her love and charitable selfless attention to family and friends, one of her proudest achievements was founding and operating her own MBA Parade of Homes award winning interior design business "Decor by Carm." After enduring many debilitating infirmities compelling an early retirement, she began writing "The Girl From Milwaukee's 3rd Ward" as a collection of unfinished memoirs she hoped to have published before her untimely death. In pain and suffering no more, Carm is now at peace with heavenly rewards we pray are due her. A Vigil Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 30 at 4:30PM with visitation to follow until 7PM. Additional Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, May 1 from 9AM until the Funeral Service at 10AM, followed by interment at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at Froedtert NICU for their compassionate care of our mother.
