Sternig, George J. August 6, 2014, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of 64 years to Lorraine (nee Willut). Dear father of the late Marquerite Sternig, Thomas (Carol) Sternig, Julieann (Norbert) Sikinger, Roseann (David) Witt and Donald (Mary) Sternig. Loving Opa of Michelle (Justin) Fluegel, Pamela (Jess) Walther, Paul Sikinger, Andrew, Alex and Emily Witt, Alyssa, Bryan and Tyler Sternig. Great-Opa to Logan. Brother of Trudy (the late Emil) Symonik and Philip (Ellen) Sternig. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation Tuesday, August 12 at the Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, August 13 at 10:00 AM at ST. DOMINIC CATHOLIC CHURCH, 18255 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield. Interment Wisconsin Memorial Park. George was a member of Milwaukee Donauschwaben Club and G.B.U. of Pittsburg. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and served in the Battle of the Bulge and worked as a Translator. George retired as a Machinist after 42 years with the Milwaukee Road Railroad. Memorials to the church or Masses appreciated.
