As a new teacher at Holmes, Joan took me under her wing. She had a great sense of humor, and was a lot of fun to be around. I am sure my life is richer because of my encounters with her. I am so sorry for your loss.

Joan and I taught together at O.W. Holmes. She was alot of fun to be around as well as a wonderful teacher. May I extend my deepest sympathy to all of her family.

Tim, Kelly and Gina - Just wanted you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your families while you cope with the loss of your dear mother. I was saddened to see the death notice in this morning's Journal. I regret that we will be unable to attend the wake or funeral tomorrow evening but we send our deepest sympathy to all of you! My regret is that I did a lousy job of keeping in touch with your Mom during the past many years! Jeanne Finn has always kept me posted - I'm grateful for that. It is hard enough to lose one's parent, but you have lost both of your parents in recent months. We are sorry about that. May you be given strength to cope with both losses in so short a time. God bless all of you and your families!
