Notice Condolences

Yuenger, Michael W. USMC Sgt. (Ret.) Age 53, passed away on June 22, 2010, at the Portland Oregon Veterans Hospital, while waiting for a liver and kidney transplant. He is survived by his wife, Leslie; daughter, Jennifer (Matthew) Wierson; granddaughters, Alison and Brooke; mother-in-law, Jene Gumpel, all of Washington, and siblings, Rick and Cindy Yuenger, of Detroit, David and Claudette Yuenger, Dealynn and Rocky Pokey, and Don and Julie Yuenger, all of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Shirley Yuenger, of Franklin. Yuenger loved the Marine Corps, the Fourth of July and fireworks; he built haunted Halloween houses at his home; he constructed the first skateboard park in his community and played dark-tag with neighborhood kids; he loved bonfires, dirt bikes, and proudly claimed that he was 14 years old while hanging upside down from his rope swing. Yuenger was medically retired from the Marine Corps in 1985, and from Anchor Construction and Remodel, Inc., in 2006. To honor him, the family requests that everyone become an Organ Donor, and save a life. A marker will be installed at the Tahoma National Cemetery near Seattle.
